we don’t make mistakes, just happy little accidents
— Bob Ross

my work is a dialogue between humanity and the mechanical environments we have realized to enable our existence.  I am especially interested in decommissioned, abandoned, and forgotten objects, sites, and structures.  I feel they have something to teach us about self being, convey urgency, and create an elevated sense of environment.

i prefer to collect source imagery through simple photo techniques. These images, primarily intended to inspire, often get transferred directly into the work in a reconstituted way or simply used as the primary content. Many of these images provide the line and form of my pieces.  I react and respond to each stage of my work in progress, usually beginning with only a skeletal framework and idea for the piece.
